Privacy Policy

Effective date: 4 August 2026

This page is maintained by Tally to answer common privacy questions about the Tally app.

Tally is designed as a private, local-first weekly to-do app. Your task titles, dates, completion state, recurrence, reminder settings, appearance, and language preferences are stored on your device. Tally does not require an account and does not send your task content to Tally servers.

Data collection and sharing

Tally does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or social-network SDKs. The developer does not collect or sell your task data, personal information, contacts, location, or identifiers, and does not share them with third parties.

Purchases

If you purchase the full Android version, Google Play processes the payment under Google's own terms and privacy policy. Tally receives only the information needed from Google Play to determine whether the one-time purchase is active. Tally does not receive or store your payment-card details.

Notifications and reminders

If you choose to add a task reminder, Tally asks Android for notification permission and schedules the reminder on your device. Tally does not use notifications for advertising. You can change notification permission at any time in Android Settings.

Device backup

Android or your device manufacturer may back up app data as part of device backup, depending on your device and account settings. Those backups are controlled by your platform provider, not by Tally.

Data deletion

You can delete individual tasks inside Tally. You can remove all locally stored Tally data by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Because Tally does not maintain a server-side account, there is no separate cloud account to delete.

Children

Tally is a general productivity app and is not specifically directed to children. It does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If Tally later adds cloud sync, shared projects, AI features, analytics, or another feature that changes how data is handled, this policy and the Google Play Data safety declaration will be updated before that feature is released.
